Almost two years ago, my book (shown here) won an award for excellence at indiePENdents.org. In the meantime it has not sold a copy. With today’s news that my story failed the final at the Merril Collection contest, I feel like a fraud calling myself an award winner and living on past glories. I realise I will not win an award a year, perhaps the best course of action is to drop the “Award Winner” tag, and call myself a short story writer.
My blog http://hereiamattheedge.blogspot.co.uk/ gets on average between 300 to 400 pages read a day. I am a multi-genre writer whose hit this year is the sci-fi series that starts with "Sons of Baal." The series http://hereiamattheedge.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/forgestriker-collection.html#.Vj3MRdXhDnA has sold nearly 600 e-books in the last 18 months. Before this, I made a good reputation for writing scary ghost stories, although most of my ghost stories are more spiritual than scary. I also have stories in the anthologies for the children's charity http://thepeacockwriters.weebly.com/
